Groundbreaking, September 27: A groundbreaking service for the new addition is scheduled for Sunday, September 27, following Sunday School. Children are invited to bring a favorite “digger” toy to play with in a sandbox table. A fellowship meal will follow. There will be no sharing or announcements during the worship service that morning. If you have a prayer concern or announcement for that morning, please contact Pastor Julia.
Fellowship meal, September 27: Following the groundbreaking service, we will gather for a fellowship meal. Persons with last name beginning with the letters A-M should plan to bring a main dish and those from N-Z a salad or dessert. If you have questions please contact Kathy Stoltzfus.
Building Project: If anyone would like to provide a low or no-interest loan to the church for our building project, please contact someone on the Finance Committee (Lynn Roth, Mart Miller, Mike Zehr, Rhoda Kunkel, John Burkhart, Rhonda Nissley) or Dave Yoder by the end of September. We are requesting loans of $25,000 or more needed in early 2010. Thank you for your consideration!
Small groups: Attention is being given to our small group formation and structure. If you are presently in a small group, please contact me or have a representative of your group provide me with the group members’ names. It would be beneficial as well to know the primary focus of your group. Thanks for your help! –Pastor Julia Fisher
Exercise Class: Exercise class will begin Monday September 21, 9-10 am, in the Connections Room. This class focuses on stretching, strengthening, and relaxation coordinated with breathing, based on yoga technique. Cost: $5 per class. Everyone welcome! Questions? Contact Judy Yoder.

The Landisville Candy Making Day, December 11 This year’s proceeds will help youth do a SWAP summer service project. Lots of hands are needed to make approximately 600 pounds of delicious candy in one day. The work begins at 2 PM and runs until finished around 8 or 9 PM. Pizza, fruit, carrots, chips and drink are provided so you can come direct from work or school. All youth and their families are involved but another 40 to 50 volunteers are needed to finish in one day. Youth list this intergenerational time of making candy together as one of their favorite activities. Plan now to attend! A huge thank you to everyone involved. –The Candy Making Crew
