Congregational Announcements

Communion: We will share in communion on Sunday, October 4.

There will be a “Sermon Response Café” during Sunday school Oct. 4 in the multipurpose room following the fellowship time. All are invited to a time of round-table sharing in response to the “I pledge allegiance to…” theme that has been the focus of recent sermons. Discussion questions will be available, and there will be opportunity to share with others at your table, as well as with the larger group.

Gym supervision: Are you willing to take turns with other adults supervising in the multipurpose room after Sunday school? If you are someone who enjoys kids and is able to encourage behaviors that are both safe and kind, we need you. Please contact Jonathan Bowman if you have interest or questions.

A volunteer is needed to take the church’s recycling to the Material Resource Center. Recycling can be dropped off any day of the week. Interested? Please contact Christy in the church office.

Building Project: If anyone would like to provide a low or no-interest loan to the church for our building project, please contact someone on the Finance Committee (Lynn Roth, Mart Miller, Mike Zehr, Rhoda Kunkel, John Burkhart, Rhonda Nissley) or Dave Yoder by the end of September.  We are requesting loans of $25,000 or more needed in early 2010. Thank you for your consideration!

Threads of Truth subscriptions: It is time to order the Mennonite Women of Lancaster Conference monthly newsletter Threads of Truth.  If you currently receive it, you will continue to receive it.  If you would like to start receiving it or wish to discontinue receiving it, call or talk to Janet Newswanger. A few extra copies are on the literature table to pick up or read and return.
