A congregational meeting is planned for Thursday, Nov. 12 at 7:00 pm. The finance committee welcomes your comments and suggestions related to the unified budget, missionary support and the challenges related to our current financial position. We welcome your input.
An Intro. into Landisville Mennonite: Are you newer to the congregation? Considering becoming a member or just interested in learning more about the church? Then join us for five Sunday School sessions (Dec. 6, 13, 20; Jan. 10, 17) as we explore together core beliefs in our theological tradition, formative stories in our congregations history, and interact with members of the Ministry Leadership Team.
Jr. High Club: Dinner and games at Maria Yoder’s on Saturday, November 21 from 6-9 PM. Jr. High Club members: instructions on what to bring will be sent to your home email addresses.
Everyone is invited to an Open House for Denny and Barb Freed and their family, Saturday, November 14 at 7:00 pm at Landisville Mennonite Church. Each of the family will speak about their experiences in Guatemala and share photos and video footage from their last 2 years of service there. Refreshments will follow.
A Community Thanksgiving Service will be Wednesday evening, Nov. 25, at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 85 Brandt Blvd. in Landisville. If you’re interested in singing in a community choir to sing one song, contact the office.
Note from Andy & Miriam Flores: We need help from our Landisville family. Andy and I just purchased a home 2 weeks ago, we were planning to clean and prepare the house throughout this month and move in on Nov. 28 but some unexpected medical issues have come up. We were planning to move by the end of this month—we are still planning to do this but we will definitely need a lot of help. Here is the breakdown for when we need help:
- Friday, Nov. 20, 9:00 – 4:00 (lunch & snacks provided)
- Saturday, Nov. 21, 9:00 – 4:00 (lunch & snacks provided)
- Saturday, Nov. 28, actual moving day 9:00 – 4:00 (lunch & snacks provided) **lots of strong guys needed. J
Tinsae Kristos Evangelical Church invites you to an Ethiopian meal fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 24, noon-6:00 pm at 2100 Manor Ridge Dr., Lancaster. Eat-in or take-out. Bring your family and friends. MCC is collecting Christmas Bundles for distribution to children through the Spanish Mennonite Council and other urban churches. Assemble a bundle, and drop off at church or at the Material Resources Center by Dec. 1. More info. and content list are at the literature table.
