Meet the Staff & Leadership

We would love the opportunity to sit down with you, get to know you better, and learn how Jesus is encountering you in life. If you would like to get together, please give any of us a call or send an e-mail.

Lead Pastor

Ron Adams

radams@landisvillemennonite.org | 717-898-0071

Ron has been a pastor for 25 years, serving congregations in Atlantic Coast Conference, Lancaster Mennonite Conference and Central District Conference. He received a Master of Divinity degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (1985), and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Lancaster Theological Seminary (2009).

Ron and Marilou live in Elizabethtown. Ron values working collaboratively, and is grateful for the opportunity to serve as one of the pastors at Landisville Mennonite Church. In his free time Ron enjoys reading and searching for more books to read.

Associate Pastor

Gina Burkhart

gburkhart@landisvillemennonite.org | 717-898-0071

Gina has been a member of the congregation since 1989 and has held a variety of leadership roles. Pastoral ministry was an unexpected turn from her training as an educator but she joyfully welcomed the call to serve. She finds hope in the reality that Jesus understands what it’s like to be human and she believes that the church can embody God’s kingdom.

Gina loves to sit in a sunny spot and needs regular doses of outdoor time. She is married to Dan and they have five children and one cat.

Leadership Team

The Leadership Team is composed of 4 lay members and the pastoral staff. Together we work at vision-setting, oversight of congregational life and ministries, administration and budgeting. Our congregational treasurer is also a regular member of the Team. Members are nominated, called and affirmed by the congregation.

Currently serving on the team are: CHAIR-Rebecca Fennimore, TREASURER-Beth Martin, MEMBERS-AT-LARGE Darrell Mast, Matt Sauder, Jane Yoder, PASTORS Ron Adams, Gina Burkhart

Pastoral Development Team

The PDT is a group of three to four church members who are nominated, called and affirmed by the congregation. Their role is to offer support and counsel to the pastoral staff, to mediate any issues that arise between pastors and congregants, and to perform regular evaluations of both pastors and regular assessments of congregational well-being.

Currently serving on the team are: CHAIR-Mary Grace Shenk, Nelson Kling, Ann Martin, Richard Miller

Pastoral Care Team

The Pastoral Care team consists of lay leaders and the pastors. They provide support for visitation ministry and crisis care as well as accountability for the distribution of funds from the congregational sharing account.

Currently serving on the team are: Mary Fretz, Karl and Ellen Steffy, Larry Newswanger, Jack Nolt, Ron Adams, Gina Burkhart

Administrative Secretary

Christy Kauffman

office@landisvillemennonite.org | 717-898-0071

Christy enjoys working in the office at Landisville Mennonite. She is a musician, spiritual director and knitter. Christy and her family live in Lancaster City and are members of Community Mennonite Church of Lancaster.
