Looking forward to Kansas City

June 30 through July 5, Mennonites from all over the country will be converging on Kansas City, Missouri. This will be a time and place for worship, getting to know new people, learning together, and discerning God’s will.

A variety of people in our congregation plan to attend, such as the Sr. High youth. Also included will be our three pastors, Gina Burkhart, Jordan Farrell, and Jonathan Bowman, serving as delegates. The delegates are the voting body of Mennonite Church USA (the large network of congregations of which we are a part). Topics the delegates will be engaging include Israel-Palestine, war, church membership guidelines, patience with one another in times of conflict, and sexual abuse. Feel free to take a look at the delegate resources page for more information.

This will certainly be a vibrant time of conversation and decision-making! As we approach our time together, we have an opportunity to pray, reflect, and prepare. A timely guide for such activities is available for download.
